The ever-popular "Ochazuke Nori," continuing to be a big hit.It also comes with a special bonus!

更新日:2023年8月20日

In Japan, there has been a traditional dish called "ochazuke" where tea is poured over rice and eaten. Ochazuke can include various toppings such as pickles, nori, fish, and umeboshi (pickled plums) along with tea or dashi broth.

In 1952, Nagatanien released a product called "Ochazuke Nori," which became a huge hit. It was developed with the idea of making it easy for people to enjoy the ochazuke experience at home, inspired by the popular way of finishing a meal at small Japanese taverns. The contents of Ochazuke Nori consist of seasoning powder, chopped nori seaweed, and arare (small rice crackers). The package design adopts a striped pattern in yellow, red, black, and green, reminiscent of the traditional stage curtains used in Kabuki theater, evoking the "Edo atmosphere."

Currently, Ochazuke Nori is available in five flavors: nori, umeboshi, salmon flakes, wasabi, and tarako (salted cod roe). It has become a beloved taste enjoyed by many people.

Furthermore, each package of Ochazuke Nori includes a bonus item called the "Tokaido Gojusantsugi Card." Every month, 1,000 lucky winners receive a full set (55 types) of the "Tokaido Gojusantsugi Cards" as a gift.

Note: "Tokaido Gojusantsugi" refers to the series of ukiyo-e prints by Hiroshige Utagawa depicting the stations along the Tokaido road, a major route connecting Edo (present-day Tokyo) and Kyoto during the Edo period.

Note: "Ochazuke" refers to a Japanese dish made by pouring green tea or dashi broth over cooked rice, and "nori" refers to seaweed sheets commonly used in Japanese cuisine.
